I’ve always been drawn toward depth and understanding, perhaps in part because I didn’t feel particularly valued growing up. I was always more of an observer, curious to understand other people’s feelings, actions, and behaviors. As I learned to connect more deeply with others, I became a much stronger and more compassionate person and have brought those qualities into my work as a therapist. And as I strive to help others, I am continually working on myself.
As a sex therapist, I will be by your side to guide you (& your partner/s) through sexual blocks, trauma, pain, & disconnection so you can reconnect with your body and experience pleasure again. I will aid you in reflecting on your challenges and obstacles in a loving and curious manner and will provide you with new ways of thinking, feeling, and perceiving your issues.
I welcome those who identify as gender or sexual minorities and have a particular passion for working with women’s sexual health and with women who identify as queer.
Professionally, I’m interested in integrating work that melds understanding with emotion. I utilize psychodynamically oriented theories, emotionally focused techniques, and mindfulness based practices.
In my free time you might find me rock climbing, hiking, cooking, or relaxing with my favorite people and my favorite cat.
